How to make an Electroscope

September 04, 2016

On this Sunny day, I will share an article about physics subjects using the English language So we can understand and learn the other language easily. This experiment is about how to make a simple electroscope. The object called an electric is if less or more electrons. After it has electricity, the charge will not move on it. So the electricity is called static electricity.

A simple Electroscope is more efficient and effective for this experiment. Because of that, we can easy to detect the charge at the object. So here we go!!! Let’s read!!! Be a good reader!!! Hard Work!!!

1.       Tools:
·         Scissors
·         Ruler / comb
·         Glass Bottle
·         Long copper wire
·         Foil Aluminium
·         Straw
·         Eraser / Styrofoam

2.       Material:
·         Our Hair

3.       How to Work:
·         First, Prepare the bottle of glass
·         Then prepare the Long copper wire enough
·         After that enter the wire into the straw and eraser
·         Then cut the aluminum foil the size is 2 X 1 cm, 2 pieces
·         Then make the wire look like hooks that hang up Foil Alumunium
·         After that make the top of the wire look a like shape lollipop or shape spiral (mosquito coil)
·         Cover the bottles tightly
·         Then you can rub the ruler/comb on your hair
·         Then observe your Foil aluminum inside the bottle

4.       The Result of the Experiment
The result of this experiment the ruler or comb that rubs on our hair has negative electric and the end of the electroscope or wire is neutral. Electrons at the cover of the electroscope push away by a ruler or comb and go under the part of the electroscope (leaf metal sheet). So the cover of electroscope has positive electricity and the metal sheet and the leaf become negative electricity. Because the metal sheet and leaf have the same charge and are negative. It happens to push away each others so the leaf will open up.

5.       Summary
The molecule will push away each other if it has the same charge.
======================================================================

By the way, I made this experiment when I was in Senior High School with my group for a task from my physics subject teacher he’s Mr. Kardiana. May you can prove the charge in your object with your physics group. Do your best!  KEEP TRYIN!!! DON’T BE AFRAID TO TRY!!! BE AFRAID NOT TO TRY!!! GOOD LUCK!!!^^
